Measures on prevention of spread and eradication of African swine fever in Krasnodar region conducted by regional veterinary service are described in the article. State Veterinary Department of Krasnodar Region organized and carried out measures on prevention of distribution and eradication of African swine fever in the region. Due to the conducted work of the veterinary experts quarantine from the territory of the Kuban was canceled on the 26th of January of 2013, and the six-month limit – on the 26th of July of 2013. Key words: African swine fever, quarantine, outbreak, epizootic focus, veterinary and sanitary measures, eradication.
14 Pruglo V.V. Parenteral method of administration (an injection) in swine industry
This review directs veterinary specialist attention to common details of injection procedure. Unfortunately, these details are ignored very often during practical realization of injection procedure in field conditions. Compliance of simple and obvious rules could significantly improve economical efficacy of veterinary measures. Key words: injection, methods of medicine administration, swine industry.

Allelic polymorphism of the second exon of the BoLA-DRB3 gene in groups of bull sires of the Kostroma breed with different relationships by blood related to the Brown Swiss (BS) breed was analyzed. When BS blood relationship was increasing the frequencies of alleles causing resistance to the bovine leukemia virus were decreasing and amounted to: in the group of thoroughbred bulls of the Kostroma breed – 0,300, in the group of bulls with the BS blood relationship equals to 50 % or less – 0,185, in the group of bulls with the BS blood relationship more than 50 % – 0,154. On the whole, 17 alleles were identified in the studied sample indicating moderate level of allelic diversity.

There are defined the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of hypervariable region VP2 gene of Russian and Belarus strains Aleutian mink disease virus (AMDV), isolated in 2008-2013. The phylogenetic analysis showed that in Russia and Belarus prevail AMDV isolates genetically related with European low virulent strain ADV-SL-3. Key words: Aleutian mink disease virus, PCR, phylogenetic analysis, VP2 gene.

In the southern regions of RF identified 287 species of helminthes parasites in animals and humans. The most dangerous parasitic zoonoses are echinococcosis, trichinosis, beef tapeworm invasions, teniosis, ascaridosis, strongyloidosis, fasciolesis, dicrocoeliosis that tend to expand nosological area. Parasitic zoonoses of multiple biologically protected aggressively active and require no turn-down search and the development of effective treatment and prevention. 46 ZolotarevA.I., ChernitskiyA.E., SamotinA.M., RetskyM.I.Respiratory failure diagnostics in calves
Diagnostic criteria, allowing detecting latent respiratory failure (RF) in calves, are developed. It is shown that 30-second expiratory apnoea in calves’ leads to oxygen deficit and carbon dioxide content increase in blood. The animals with RF after apnoea demonstrate considerable increase of respiratory movement frequency (RMF) and respiratory minute volume, while respiratory capacity shows no significant changes. The more time the respiration restores to reference values after apnoea or run, the more strongly respiratory failure is expressed. The respiratory failure index of healthy calves, counted as 30-second expiratory apnoea RMF attitude to RMF at rest, is 1,1 – 1,5, at latent RF – over 1,5.

A study performed on newborn calves 32 black-motley breed surveyed for the newborn phase 5 times. The newborn calves tend to improve aggregation of loose blood. This is accompanied by the increase in the control of blood cell aggregation on the part of the vascular wall by a trend towards greater elaboration in the endothelium nitric oxide and prostacyclin. Key words: phase after birth, calves, vascular wall, antiaggregative, elements of blood.
