3 Mischenko A.V., Karaulov A.K., Mischenko V.A. Routes of spread and mechanisms of transmission of lumpy skin disease virus
The information on routes of spread and mechanisms of transmission of lumpy skin disease virus is presented in the paper. The lumpy skin disease agent is a DNA-containing virus belonging to genus Capripoxvirus, family Poxviridae. Lumpy skin disease in cattle causes significant economic losses. Lumpy skin disease is a viral highly contagious emergent transboundary infection. The disease is characterized by lesions in skin, mucous membranes of respiratory and digestive systems, lymphatic system and parenchymatous organs. The agent is excreted with exhaled air, saliva, semen, milk, nasal and ocular excudates and it is also excreted by affected skin areas and mucous membranes. Skin, mucous membranes of respiratory and digestive tracts, conjunctiva are portals of infection. Key words: cattle, lumpy skin disease, Asiatic buffaloes, lesions in skin and mucous membranes, respiratory and digestive tracts, transboundary infection.

17 Glotov A.G., Glotova T.I., Semenova O.V., Koteneva S.V. Detection of viral diarrhoea virus genome in cattle with reproduction pathology
The data for the study of serological status to BVD virus in cattle and frequency of detection of the viral genome by RT-PCR in the big dairy farms are submitted. Heifers after artificial insemination and heifers especially after abortion, revealed high titers of specific antibodies to the virus. Up to 71,4 % of heifers responded 64 – 128-fold seroconversion to the pathogen through 1 – 3 months after artificial insemination in cows the figure was 36,50 %. High levels of antibodies in heifers can serve as a criterion for the birth of persistently infected calves and further development of fertility and gynecological pathology in breeding stock. The number of virus carriers among the heifers was 10,6 %, dry heifers 8,83 %, while the calves are born to 5,50 %, higher than the corresponding figures of cows second and third lactation. The virus genome was detected in most organs of aborted fetuses from heifers in step 4 – 6 months (40,0 %), 6 – 9 months (24,0 %) stillbirth calves (29,23 %). In cows, the figures were 17,54; 10,34 and 20,51 % respectively. The presence of the virus in vaginal and uterine secretions was of "transition" nature and amounted to 28,98 and 13,50 %, respectively. The real value in the pathology of the reproduction system of the virus can "masked" by other agents of viral and bacterial origin. In order to establish its role in the pathology of reproduction is necessary to conduct complex of diagnostic tests (serological and molecular) in the most susceptible to infection with animal groups. According to the results of helminthological autopsies of 275 cattle and 611 small cattle (sheep and goats) in desert and semi-desert areas of Uzbekistan it was found that the extensity of infection by Parabronema skrjabini (Nematoda: Spirurata) was 37,1 % in cattle and 44,0 % in small cattle. 1737 specimens of Diptera, including Lyperosia titilans, Lyperosia irritans, Stomoxys calcitrans, Musca corvina, Musca domestica and several species of Tabanidae were studied as putative intermediate hosts of P. skrjabini. The larvae of P. skrjabini were found in L. titilans, L. irritans and S. calcitrans. Key words: cattle, smallcattle, Parabronema skrjabini, Uzbekistan.
OBSTTETRICS, GYNECOLOGY
32 Erokhin A.S. Methods of estrus induction in dogs
Reported methods for canine estrus induction include the use of synthetic estrogens, exogenous gonadotropins (PMSG, LH, FSH, hCG, human menopausal gonadotropin), GnRH agonists (lutrelin, buserelin, leuprolide, deslorelin), dopamine agonists (bromocryptine and cabergoline). The applicability of some of these methods for clinical practice is questionable. GnRH agonist deslorelin and dopamine agonists seem to be encouraging schemes in dogs. Key words: bitch, estrus induction, estrogens, gonadotropins, dopamine agonists, bromocryptine, cabergoline, GnRH agonists, deslorelin.

Previously it was shown that Gamavit induced 2-fold increase in the somatotropic hormone (STH) blood levelincalves and lambs. Here we studied Gamavit effect on the STH blood level in suckling piglets. Using method of enzyme immunoassay we shown that during the study level of STH in the experimental group gradually increased from 8,5mIU/ l before the experiment to 14,3 mIU/l on the 5th day. In the control group it ranged from 7,5mIU/l to 10,2 mIU/l. At the end of the experiment greatest body weight gain was observed in the experimental group and amounted 45,450 g compared with 26,700 g in the control group piglets. Key words: Gamavit, somatotropic hormone, suckling piglets, pig-breeding.
