3 Glotov A.V., Glotova T.I. The role of BVDV in the etiology of cattle respiratory pathology
The new data on the role of viral diarrhea -mucosal disease virus (BVDV) in the etiology of respiratory diseases of cattle are submitted. Despite the fact that viral diarrhea virus is not related to the number of lines of respiratory pathogens its role in the etiology of respiratory diseases of cattle on dairy farms and feedlots is substantiated by the following facts. Calves exposed to BVDV in utero have increased susceptibilities to respiratory diseases. Some BVDV strains may cause pneumonia following acute uncomplicated infections. Acute BVDV infections result in a broad spectrum immunosupression that predisposes cattle to opportunistic infections of secondary respiratory pathogens. Synergistic interaction of BVDV and other respiratory pathogens during coinfections results in more clinically severe respiratory disease. In practice, the role not only persistently infected but cattle with acute forms of infection must be considered as the sources of the viruses. According to our data, during the quarantine period of 800 heifers imported to the big dairy farm from Europe, 10 died from acute fibrinous pneumonia, 74 were aborted for three months, dead calves were 84. In the first month of life 45 of the calves born healthy died after diarrhea and respiratory disease. In another farm, with 1088 heads of local dairy cattle, 752 highly productive heifers were brought in separately, but without restriction of economic ties. After their calving 160 calves died from acute fibrinous pneumonia to 30 days of age. A month later local calves became ill and 240 heads were died. Pathological changes in internal organs in local and imported calves were similar. Table 1. Bibl. 57. Key words: cattle, respiratory diseases, viral diarrhea – mucosal disease, virus, persistent form, acute forms of infection, immunosupression, synergysm.

13 Tereschenko I.V., Tretyakov S.V., Matitsina Y.N. Influence of antioxidant complex on reproduction function of broiler’s parent stock
The field trial with the purpose to evaluate the effectiveness of antioxidant complex ACTIZ ANTI OX, containing extracts of 4 plants and Selenium, was conducted in broiler’s parent stock at the second half of the production period (from age of 34 weeks old). At the final stage of trial the parent stock undergoes the chronic heat stress conditions due to hot weather. Improvement in reproduction function and production indexes was seen in the group receiving antioxidant complex: fertile eggs % (from the 38th week) and hatch % (from the 42nd week). During time of the heat stress improvement in production indexes was more pronounced which can be explained by better tolerance of the chronic heat stress in poultry that received the antioxidant complex. Key words:broiler’s parent stock, eggs production, fertility, hatch, heat stress, antioxidant complex.
16 Sarsadskikh A.A., Rovira K.M. Nutritional solutions to heat stress
Productivity losses associated to high temperatures, sometimes combined with high humidity, are one of the main reasons for the economical losses that affect poultry breeders every year. This article is a review of the physiology of heat stress and gives ideas about how to combat it efficiently by nutritional means. Key words: betaine, menthol, metabolism, heat stress, thermoregulation.
19 Petrova O.G., Barashkin M.I., Millstein I.M., Vanechkina N.A., Ulyanov D.S., Gutova М.O. The results of testing the disinfectant "Vetargent" in poultry farm
The state of poultry health and its productivity largely depend on the sanitary well-being of the industrial zone and the poultry house where it’s kept. The term "biological fatigue" of poultry houses, meaning abundant seeding of premises and equipment surfaces by the end of the technological cycle of poultry breeding by saprophytic and pathogenic (E. coli, Staph. aureus etc.) bacteria has become firmly established in the practice of industrial poultry farming. The analysis of numerous data about duration of persistence in the environment pathogenic microorganisms indicates the need for careful disinfection of premises and equipment in the production areas of poultry farms prior to each boarding of a new batch of birds. Key word: bird, disinfection, infectious diseases, microbiological testing, E. coli, Staph. aureus.

The article presents the results of experimental infection of sheep with ORF virus to study the futures of clinical course and dynamics of infection in the vaccinated and unvaccinated sheep. It was found that vaccination does not prevent replication virus of contagious ecthyma deposited on scarified skin surface lip and the inside of the thighs. However, the severity of lesions and duration of infection in the immunized sheep were significantly lower than in intact animals. Key words: the virus of contagious ecthyma, sheep, vaccine, real-time PCR.
27 Shcherbakov P.N.,Shcherbakova T.B.,Mashnin A.V. Еffectiveness of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and complement fixation test for diagnosis of chlamydiosis in cattle
Chlamydias are the group of contagious diaereses diverse by clinical signs. Birds and mammals (including human) suffer from it. It causes antigen -related and morphologically- similar intercellar microorganisms- chlamydias. Animals of all ages suffer under chlamydiosis regardless from sex and breed. As source of infection can be sick or recovered animals, which can be a vector of chlamydia for 7 – 12 months and can excrete the agent by fluids of eyes, nose, faeces, semen (breeder), urine, milk, aborted fetus, amniotic fluid and birth skins and contaminate the environment. The contamination of animals takes place by through alimentary, aerogenic and reproductive tract. Chlamydia’s can easily go through placental barrier. A human can be also infected by chlamydiosis. In spite of high infectivity of chlamydia, the animals are always showing clinical signs of disease. In most cases the contamination leads to inapparent chronic infection and long persistence of agent. These animals are dangerous in terms of epizooty and epidemiology, since they are an undetected source of infection for both animals and humans [2, 3, 5]. For that reason, detection and removal of sick animals are essential for elimination of disease. The simplest and affordable method of laboratory diagnosis of chlamydiosis is serological detection of antibodies in blood of Chlamidofphila Abortus. The target of research are two laboratory methods used for serological diagnosis of chlamydia. The first one is based on complement fixation test (CFT) and the other one is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Performed studies are showing that by comparison of two diagnostic methods for serological detection of chlamydia in cattle for CFT and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, the more sensitive method was the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, performed with IDEXX Chlamydia Total Ab test kit of the USA production for detection of antibody to Chlamidofphila Abortus. Key words: chlamydiosis, cattle, laboratory diagnosis, blood serum, complement fixation test (CFT), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
